Still pushing repetitive nihilism and G-Unit production styles instead of branching out and taking chances with his music.

Aurally speaking Curtis may just be the strongest 50 Cent offering to date. The overall vibe of smoldering menace and shadowy dread is pervasively rapturous

The formula is there, problem is that it doesn’t work that well for him here as it seems he didn’t even try on a lot of these tracks.

Much better is “All of Me,” with Mary J. Blige. Wailing, “I got a feeling like I’m fiending on crack,” Blige steals the show without even trying.

  • No Rip Cord

Nearly all of 50 Cent's raps on the record are so unimaginative that I've actually started feeling bad for those CDs with the sheer bad luck of having Curtis printed on them.

It's the quality that counts. And when Fiddy finds his way back to his old form, he can also run amok as a worldwide rap hero .
