The charismatic rapper’s second album captures absolutely none of his real-life persona. It is among the most insipid, vacuous statements in recent pop history.

This album had too many skips, which I did not expect since Harlow usually puts out a couple of decent bops (¨What’s Poppin¨, ¨GHOST¨, and ¨I WANNA SEE SOME ASS¨). As a Jack Harlow fan, one word to describe this album is disappointing. Don’t get it twisted, though, I will still ride for my man.

The lack of it won’t necessarily stop someone like me from enjoying it now. But by the time we reach the end of the year, I don’t think Come home The Kids Miss You would be as memorable as I would’ve liked it to be. There isn’t really much to take away from this album in terms of narrative either; just another story of success, and not a very engaging one of that either.

The Louisville rapper’s second album, Come Home the Kids Miss You, is a hollow Drake imitation.

Jack Harlow’s sophomore effort was meant as a testament to his passion for the game but instead, it translates into a monotonous record that often plays out like a direct contradiction to what he’s claimed — and that contradiction is ultimately damning.

Jack Harlow was a name you could not avoid over the past two years. After seemingly being on fire, his new album may extinguish that flame.
