CARNIVAL OF SOULS
| KissCARNIVAL OF SOULS
Carnival of Souls: The Final Sessions is the 17th studio album by American rock band Kiss, released in 1997. It is the band's final album with lead guitarist Bruce Kulick, as well as their last album with drummer Eric Singer until 2009's Sonic Boom. The album is a departure from the band's classic hard rock style, in favor of a dark and dense grunge-oriented sound. It is also the band's last album of their unmasking era. -Wikipedia

Mark's Record Reviews
Luckily, once they get their asses in gear, they DO present several beautiful shining moments of joy where the old Kiss melodicism rears its lovely head

Sleaze Roxx
Carnival Of Souls is one of KISS‘ weakest albums

Only the dedicated -- who probably already own it on bootleg -- will have the patience to wade through the record to find the few minor items of worth.

Mike Ladano
I like almost every song, and this record was historic for Bruce Kulick.

Metal Excess
Carnival of Souls is something different but also something good.

2013 - If you like KISS, heavy material and great musicianship, give CARNIVAL OF SOULS a listen–You may just be surprised at what a great album it is…

Poffy's Movie Mania
intimates a bold, unapologetic direction they might have taken had the Reunion never been

Glam-Racket
Carnival Of Souls is far from a bad album, it’s just a very bad Kiss album.
-
Melodic
I never understood this sound and I think I only listened to it twice, quite ok as a numetal album but rather crappy as a Kiss album.

Daily Vault
2007 - Carnival Of Souls has a few good tracks, but as a whole, it is a fairly bland affair that succeeds in capturing the grunge sound via KISS and not much else.
