C'mon C'mon

C'mon, C'mon is the fourth studio album by American singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow, released on April 8, 2002 in the United Kingdom and April 16, 2002 in the United States. Lead single "Soak Up the Sun" peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart and No. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming one of her biggest hits since "All I Wanna Do". The album was arguably her most pop-influenced to date, a big departure from the folk and experimental influences on her previous release, The Globe Sessions. -Wikipedia

C’mon, C’mon achieves its intended classic rock ether and even revives Crow’s trademark quirk.

It's pretty much what the follow-up to Sheryl Crow should have been and what she needed to release for her fourth album, but even better than expected.

Crow has never been an original, an overrated quality anyway, but her acts of synthesis usually turn out better than they do here.

Sheryl Crow: VH1 party girl or tormented loner? The album never fully answers that question -- maybe she doesn't know the answer herself -- but give her this: She makes you enjoy the ride anyway.

I liked it the first time out, which I don’t often do. Better yet, it’s stood the test of time.

Some of today's bland female artists could use a good soaking of some of Crow's sun.

Remember the old joke about eating Chinese food? That when you're done, you're hungry an hour later? Sheryl Crow's fourth studio album, C'mon, C'mon, could fit easily into a Styrofoam container.

Though the album's highs are high, the lows are very low.

There are too many lame songs that go by unnoticed and that's a bit odd for this lady when it comes to delivering good hitsongs. It's an OK album but not comparable to her latest "Globe sessions".

The songs "It's So Easy" (with Don Henley) and "Weather Channel" (with Emmylou Harris) are worth the entire price. She captures California again with her hit "Soak Up the Sun."

Arguably the worst album Sheryl Crow ever produced, Sheryl Crow is accompanied by many friends on an unmemorable musical odyssey.
