Pitchfork
Logic’s latest mixtape is blessedly lighter on its toes and more entertaining than his overambitious albums, doing far more with far less.

HipHopDX
Logic's "Bobby Tarantino II" Is A Subtle Return To Irreverence.
-

Logic’s ‘Bobby Tarantino II’ Is Part Alter Ego, Part Identity Crisis.
-
Hot New Hip Hop
Logic's sixth mixtape is lacking in several key areas, but overall he delivers a decently solid project that is well produced from start to finish.
-
Above Average Hiphop
If you’re looking for a fun, sonically diverse project full of banger beats and braggadocious bars, you’re going to enjoy Bobby Tarantino II.
-
Vulture
This month’s Bobby Tarantino II follows the 2016 mixtape Bobby Tarantino as an exercise in Logic rapping without the weight of his anxieties, his politics, and his action-adventure enthusiast’s eye for a deeply engrossing story.
-
The Rotunda Online
Logic’s “Bobby Tarantino II” makes up for lackluster "Everyone" album.
-
Staffs Live
I’m glad music as bland as this exists so I can appreciate good albums.
-
Immortal Reviews
Logic gives it his all in Bobby Tarantino II, delivering fiery verses full of thankfulness, passion, and even anger.
-
Vidette
Whatever the case may be, the album is definitely worth a listen and will not disappoint those with an ear for the beloved Atlanta sound.
-
Sputnik Music
Bobby Tarantino, in the end, is the rapping equivalent of expensive yet stale bread, salvaged as croutons for the world's most 'okay' caesar salad.
-
Surviving the Golden Age
Logic is simply proving once again that he is committed to copying and only furthers the argument that he lacks a truly original style
-
The Booster Redux
I highly suggest listening to Bobby Tarantino II if you haven’t already. Within these songs, Logic reveals yet another facet of his artistry that captivates fans and tops charts.
-
The Musical Hype
All in all, like Bobby Tarantino, Bobby Tarantino II has more than its share of enjoyable records
-
Tree Fingers
Bobby Tarantino II definitely has a time and a place.
-
The Royal Page
I do like most of the tracks on here generally, and I think that Logic not trying cram an ideal down people’s throats is a good thing since many of his albums, most notoriously Everybody.
-
BuzzFeed
This Bobby Tarantino II album is one his best yet, hitting with passionate 808 and speedy puzzling lyrics which is his own beloved style.
-
Melt Reviews
Though Logic has yet to come into his own stylistically without the obvious borrowing from some of his contemporaries, and though the production on this mixtape gets a bit redundant and stale after awhile, this is a solid set of tracks and definitely worth a listen.
-
The Daily News
This was a let down of a project but it had it's moments that really shined through. Hopefully if he ever drops anything like this again he really needs to focus on his lyrics and the way he presents himself in it.
-
Shark Attack
This is probably one of the best albums Logic has ever put out.
-
The Ranch Review
Though creativity should be applauded, Logic lacked the ability to sound comfortable whilst rapping, it felt as if he was forcing himself to say certain things.
-
Scot Scoop
Logic’s new album, ‘Bobby Tarantino II’ is meaningless but amazing.
-
TUC Magazine
If Logic could find that perfect blend of rap that combines his heartbreakingly intriguing upbringing, identity, the woes of the world AND turn up on one project, he would easily be sitting at a perfect ten.
-
Slope Media Group
In these songs it seems Logic put the least effort into trying to be what he perceived his previous image to be and, inadvertently, is the closest to his old songs
-
The Paper
While I certainly enjoyed BT2, I feel as if this lack of ambition shows through.
-
The Hoya
While “Bobby Tarantino II” has some valuable and enjoyable parts, the overall product is still slightly underwhelming and points more to Logic’s continued struggles with deciphering his artistic persona and voice.
