A little bit of everything on Between the Buttons, including some real nice vocals throughout.

Rolling Stone
Accused of psychedelia, Beatlephobia and murky-mix syndrome, this underrated keeper is distinguished by complex rhymes.

The Stones make you feel their presence in a way that is so immediate, so essential, so relevant, that one can’t turn his mind away from what they’re doing.

Countdown Kid
at least half the songs are stone-cold classics or at least close to that level

Between the Buttons’ best moments – Connection, Miss Amanda Jones, Back Street Girl – tellingly cleave closest to the band’s original blueprint.

John McFerrin Music Reviews
For the first time, the Stones demonstrated that they could write songs with the best of them, with NO filler whatsoever
-
Wilson & Alroy's Record Reviews
There are some high points here (cleverly produced Jagger-Richards hits like "Yesterday's Papers" and the Dylan send up "Who's Been Sleeping Here?"; the foot-stomping "Miss Amanda Jones"), but also a lot of second-rate rockers

Adrian's Album Reviews
'Between The Buttons' is so simple yet so full of melody. So easily listenable, it creates a rare form a genius without even trying.
-
Don Ignacio
What I care about is Between the Buttons has melodies, melodies, melodies. It has a lot of spirit, also, which is something that can easily be overlooked.
-
Spill Magazine
