Baby is clear and precise, even staccato, an athletic rapper who can whip songs into a frenzy through sheer force of will.

“Baby on Baby” is beyond a solid effort by Da Baby. I don’t think there is a single bad track on it, which says a lot for a new artist that relatively blew up out of nowhere.

The album features a diverse, yet consistent trap sound which is all tied together by DaBaby’s signature voice, which rides over the beat like he’s been doing this for years.

DaBaby utilizes diverse sounding production throughout the album which keeps the listener from being lulled to sleep with the same sounding beat over and over. His rap in honestly entertaining. I found myself audibly laughing multiple times while listening.

“Baby on Baby” definitely sets the tone for future projects, brings back that dirty south style of rapping and is just all out fun to listen to!

Baby on Baby experiences a range of “rap-approved” emotions that span from frivolous statements of grandeur and machismo, as well as, everything in between.

“Baby on Baby,” is a 31-minute breeze exhibiting his charm, sense of humor and, when necessary, knack for intimidation. You can laugh at DaBaby, but don’t play with him.

Baby On Baby is a short album — 13 songs, 32 minutes — and it works as a showcase for the theatrical silliness and understated, confident bounce of those YouTube videos.
