Exclaim!
Black Uhuru have traditionally been rooted in Rastafarian music and Jamaican anti-colonialism, and As the World Turns strongly maintains this mandate. The 2018 project proves that the group still has something to say, after all these years.

World Music Report
Make no mistake however, with all of the rippling feel-good grooves, the rumbling bass and characteristic drum lines, this music by Black Uhuru is always on the right side of social justice.
-

A better approach to As the World Turns would be to EXPECT creatives to create, no matter their age, and especially musicians at a time when technology has made it possible for anyone to produce and promote their own album.
-
Black Grooves
a phenomenal exemplar of Jamaican musical legacies and continuity

-
Top Shelf Reggae
the album provides intense, colorful and dramatic songs to dance and vibe to
