As a debut album, the listener certainly walks away with a solid understanding of who Doja Cat is and what she can do - sing, rap, write, produce - but, more importantly, you feel something. The album isn't filled with deep and personal lyrics about Doja's childhood or relationships nor does it discuss how much money she has or how she thinks she is better than the other R'n'B girls charting right now - it falls somewhere in the middle.
