If you're looking for music that will fire up the honky tonk all night long, All Over the Road sure isn't it, but if you want to dance close with your baby after a few beers on a Saturday night, Easton Corbin's the man to see, and he's good enough that the guys dragged out onto the floor might like him in spite of themselves.

When I was listening to it, I kind of felt like I was back in 1995 listening to Daryle Singletary, but the more I dig in the more solid the album feels.

  • Sounds Like Nashville

One of the biggest obstacles new artists worry about is how much success their sophomore album will garner, but Easton Corbin has little to be concerned with as All Over The Road is a fantastic follow up.

Easton’s voice has that tonal quality to it, and the production that surrounds it, to make it a real tribute to that sound from 20 years ago.

It has a winking and self admitted defeat that begs not to be taken very seriously. All over the track, it tends to stay squarely in between the lines and right there at the proper speed limit. No wonder, this song would surely always take a sweet spot not just for his fans but also for this talented and gorgeous country singer.

Overall, I think the CD is great. there are no surprises. No rap, no rock, no pop. It’s country music. I am very glad Easton Corbin is continuing to do what he does best. There’s not a song among them that I don’t like, and at the same time.

  • Taste of Country

'All Over the Road' is full of traditional country music that goes down like a spoonful of George Strait's sugar.

He definitely could’ve stood to take more risk and stretch himself (does every song have to be about a girl?) but he proves here he’s one of the good guys, even if he should rough himself up a bit more.

I hate to be the guy saying that a modern country singer would benefit by sounding more like the older guys, but…here I am.

It’s all fizzy, twangy and puppy dog froth with earworm choruses you’ll sing after the first listen.
