| Aretha FranklinA WOMAN FALLING OUT OF LOVE
A Woman Falling Out of Love is the thirty-seventh studio album by American singer Aretha Franklin, her second since leaving Arista Records. The disc features collaborations with Ronald Isley, Karen Clark-Sheard, and her ailing son, Eddie Franklin. Duets with Richard Marx and Faith Hill were also recorded, but ultimately shelved. Although recorded in Detroit during 2006, it took the artist five years to find a distributor for the project. WIKIPEDIA

Show All-
RollingStone
2011 - unmemorable songs and overcooked arrangements suggest too many opportunities squandered.
-
Write on Music
it's on a scorching cover of “Sweet Sixteen,” in dedication to B.B. King, that she most excites; consider it as the Queen of Soul giving the King of The Blues something he can feel, and then some. Consider the same sentiment as what Franklin offers listeners in myriad ways throughout this most-gratifying album.
-
Soul Express
2011 - It is one of the best albums this year, that's for sure!
-
The Washington Post
2011 - “Aretha” could have used some help, either from the sort of guest-starring young’uns, such as Fantasia or Mary J. Blige, whose presence has always raised her game, or from a seasoned hand such as Clive Davis: someone, anyone, to rescue “Aretha” from its own worst impulses.
-
Daily News
2011 - It's lively, funny and, if anything, overambitious.
-
MASS LIVE
2011 - at age 69, the singer sounds positively inspired on this wildly diverse recording, which is the 38th studio album of her amazing career.
-
Los Angeles Times
2011 - Aretha is truly, as Rolling Stone recently named her, the greatest singer of all time.
