A Different Christmas
A Different Christmas is the debut extended play by American singer Bryson Tiller. It was released through RCA Records on November 19, 2021. The EP features guest appearances from Kiana Ledé, Justin Bieber, Poo Bear, Tayla Parx, and Tiller's daughter, Halo. It marks the first time that Tiller has worked with any of the featured artists on the EP. Production was handled by Tiller himself, Poo Bear himself, Teddy Walton, Carter Lang, J-Louis, Cool & Dre, Emoko, Nes, the Audibles, Sasha Sirota, Oliver "Junior" Frid, and Jeff "Gitty" Gitelman.[1] The project debuted and peaked at number 194 on the Billboard 200 for the chart week ending December 4, 2021. The EP was supported by one single, "Lonely Christmas ", which features Justin Bieber and Poo Bear, and was released alongside a music video with the release of the EP. -Wikipedia

I think it’s safe to say that most people never expected R&B superstar Bryson Tiller to put out a Christmas album. However, no one is complaining. Even his love songs on the album offer listeners that nostalgia they look for in December. Somehow, Tiller managed to mix the spirit of the holidays with his moody style, making everyone want to bump to his relatable love songs. After all, what is a Bryson Tiller album without asking, “who hurt him?”

Overall, as is the case with most Christmas projects, ‘A Different Christmas’ is a nice project with some good songs and a few that get you in the Christmas mood. Nevertheless, it’s nothing spectacular, nor do I believe Bryson intended it to be. The project does, however, hold fans over until his highly anticipated next studio album ‘Serenity’.
