TYR

Tyr (/?t??r/) (stylized as ???) is the 15th studio album by English rock band Black Sabbath, released in August 1990 by I.R.S. Records. The album title, and several song titles, allude to Norse mythology, which led many to call Tyr a concept album, although bassist Neil Murray dispelled that in 2005, stating that while many of the songs may seem loosely related, very little of the album has to do with mythology and it was not intended to be a concept recording. -"Wikipedia"

The instrumental, heavy and technical songwriting is combined in a good way with Tony's chilling vocals; we have even "The Battle of Tyr/Odin's Court" which seem to be the starting point of a new way of doing music.

A new installment of Black Sabbath delivers an excellent album that boldly stands on its own against other classics of previous Black Sabbath eras.

Gothic in approach, but crushing guitar riffs galore, Tyr followed Black Sabbath's previous return to the spotlight by less than a year. Again leaning heavily on the darker side of life, or perhaps, death, Tyr is a set of tunes loosely based around the Norse tales of Odin and the gods of war.
