Ultimate Classic Rock
2014 - Having made a detour into stripped-down rock on 'Slang,' which resulted in disappointing chart results, Def Leppard once again tried to reanimate their past glories on an album that featured a few contributions from Mutt Lange. "Promises," a hit, almost gets there. Unfortunately, except for a few songs like "Demolition Man" and "Back in Your Face," not much else does.

Metal Storm
Euphoria is a smashing return to form by a band that, believe it or not, was a front runner of the NWOBHM scene. It contains sappy ballads but also distinctively heavy songs and those that fall in between.

RollingStone
The defining characteristic of Euphoria is its bloodlessness, from the robotic drum tracks to the disconcertingly inhuman tone of those trademark massed vocal choruses.

ALL MUSIC
Euphoria finds the band returning to the glam-inflected, unabashedly catchy, arena-ready pop-metal that made them stars -- and it's also clear that they're not concerned with having a hit, they just want to make a good record.
