With their latest album, Dancin’ On The Boulevard, the band seriously took a retrospective approach to their music and recultivated some of the same magic that went into their earliest work in both Fort Payne and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

AllMusic
Although it has a few good moments, Dancin' on Boulevard finds Alabama turning a fairly predictable and routine record that only catches fire on its singles. The remainder of the album is pleasant, but unremarkable.

Once an act has maintained megastar status for several years, there is the temptation to cut an album that indulges the personal tastes of the act at the expense of their core audience.Reba did it with "Starting Over." It's Alabama's turn here.
